Posts cite sources with footnotes. Footnotes link to sources where possible. Footnotes more-or-less follow the Chicago Manual of Style. The editors assume readers know all agreements are between Bath Iron Works and Local S6. Unless stated otherwise, assume these are the parties to any agreements cited. The editors also make use of the abbreviation “Ibid.” to reduce repetition in the footnotes. Posts do not include bibliographies.
From the Deckplates uses a lot of abbreviations. The editors assume most readers are familiar with abbreviations like “BIW,” “IAM,” and “L40.” If you do not know what an abbreviation means, the editors maintain a list here.
