I was one of about a dozen Local S6 representatives to attend Labor Lobby Day in Augusta yesterday. While in Augusta, I learned that the Holy Donut workers in Portland have organized with the IAM Union. Workers announced the union drive on Instagram. They have accused management of a litany of abuses.1 While the Holy Donut does damage control, the workers are demanding management recognize their union.2 Members of Local S6 showed up at their picket line today to show solidarity.
